Winkbot was designed as a learning platform for people new to programming.
Getting started with Arduino
Arduino is a free and open source programming environment that is popular in the maker movement for its ease of use and worldwide popularity. The Winkbot was designed around Arduino for these same reasons. If you’re unfamiliar with Arduino we created a video explaining the basic interface and going into some simple programming examples. This may be helpful to new users of the Arduino platform. The video uses the Ringo robot as an example but the Winkbot is programmed in the same way.

Wink Lessons
Winkbot was designed around a set of lesson plans that are suitable for classroom and workshop instruction, as well as for learning on your own. The companion code is a set of complete working Arduino sketches for each of the examples in the lessons.
